Never been a Pearl Jam fan, but SIRENS is a great song for me.on several levels. Like the melody, lyrics, love the drumming, use of piano tone and I love how they subtly represented sirens in the guitar. A song of a slow motion panic attack, or perhaps an epiphany moment in a relationship, or a person coming to grips with leaving this world and loved one(s) behind…”it’s a fragile thing this life we lead”…

I first wrote about this while. Was facing ny Mom’s cancer diagnosis in 2014, literally days before her femur broke (full of cancer) and even hospice took her within 10 days. Found this paragraph and decided to share it again.
